Salvation

In this series we look at how Christians have understood the way that Christ's Atonement has been applied to us.  What does it mean that he died for us?

The main points covered are the historical and philosophical reasons behind each of the following views:

  • The Recapitulation view

  • The Ransom to Satan view

  • The Moral Example view

  • The Satisfaction/Sacramental view

  • The Vicarious Substitutionary view

  • The Governmental view

You'll discover that each view has merit and we should understand them and why they were held to in order for us to get a better understanding of the meaning of the Gospel.
