Being called out

RE: Christian answers to those outside the faith 4 of 18

Are you not contradicting yourself with your video Church Felled Away! Maybe you need to practice what you preach! Didn't you resort to a personal attack in that video. I had been in church all my life and call me naive but had never seen "Christians" behave as such! If your Bible teaches you to behave in such a manner then I don't want any part it!

Hi OTM,

Thank you for viewing my videos and critiquing them.  I really do appreciate it.  I can understand your confusion on this subject.  A lot of people misunderstand what I was doing because of the Church Felleded Away title of the video.  I have thought about this and decided to change the title.  For the first month of the video nobody knew that the method I was using in the video was anything more than a subjective Solo Scripturist hermeneutic against the deity of Christ.  It wasn't until someone noticed the title and brought it to your husbands' attention (I assume) and decided it was an attack on him.

Religious Atheism

Religious Atheism

Living in 21st century America is an interesting experience. While being surrounded by those who are intolerant towards Christianity because universal salvation is not taught, at the same time being told that you must be tolerant of other religions that teach the exact same thing! As I write this, I realize this is the most politically incorrect and infuriating thing that can be written within my own culture. To have the audacity to proclaim that someone’s personally held religious beliefs are worthless is a crime in this day and age. But, for me to not do so would be to compromise my own belief and sacrifice truth on the altar of popular opinion.

Soft Atheism

Soft Atheism

This type of atheist is the most common. We’ll refer to this view as soft atheism. The soft atheist is one who would categorize themselves as “spiritual”. They usually come with a postmodern epistemology attached in order to justify the inconsistency of their worldview. The logically fallacy of this group is that in fact the law of non contradiction (A cannot equal -A at the same time) can never apply when it comes to ethics, morals, or religion unless they have stated that it in fact does. They would say, for example, that all religions are the same. There exists one God, no Gods and many Gods. Even though this view is illogical (since one view must be correct) it is deemed as acceptable. Within this particular epistemological view, what is logical and reasonable takes a back seat to what is deemed to be right and good. To say that you believe, is okay. To say that you believe in some thing, is okay. To say that there is only one truth and therefore only one particular understanding is tantamount to blasphemy. This, in their eyes, cannot and will not be tolerated.

Hard Atheism

Hard Atheism

The group of Atheists I’ve called the “Hard Atheist” are also known as the “New Atheism”. These individuals are very militant and evangelical in the sense that they have one goal. Rid the world of theism of any kind. This group in general is very rude, disrespectful, and hostile. They will use rants and rhetoric instead of evidence and consistent logic. The main thrust of their method of argumentation is to back the theist into a corner forcing them to defend an inductive approach for the existence of God. Interestingly enough, they’re using a deductive approach. I believe the reason for this is because you can’t fully sustain any argument based on an infallible inductive argumentation. If they can get you to passively agree to this view, then you’ve already lost the argument. All that is needed is for you to not know one thing, to not have an answer to one point and this will be understood as a fideistic system of belief.
